Congratulations to Jeff and Amy Bessey
World Champion western pleasure trainers Jeff and Amy Bessey were shopping for a horse of their very own and fell in love with the beautiful yearling filly, TFF EYES WIDE SHUT (Roy-El’s Grand Opening x TFF Iris, by Bri-B XTC).
Sired by the up and coming Roy-El’s Grand Opening, a son of the Noble Flaire son Grandiose, out of a Southerly Conowingo mare, she is out of our Bri-B XTC daughter.
I am thrilled that this very special filly is going to Summerbird Farm and can’t wait to see her debut in the future. She is a head-turner and will look stunning in silver.
Welcome to our latest Gamborian colt!
Arriving on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2016 is a beautiful bay colt with a huge star, sired by PKM Gamborian and out of CBMF Music & Lyrics. We are over the moon about this gorgeous guy and can’t wait to see him as he unfolds.
Congratulations are in order!
TFF THE LAST OLYMPIAN (Town Assets x Cause Celebre, by Tug Hill Whamunition) has found a wonderful new owner in Kathleen Heinrich of Peotone, Illinois.
This personable 2014 gelding is our first foal by World Champion sire Town Assets. His dam is a big, scopey daughter of WC Tug Hill Whamunition, out of a Tedwin Topic daughter.
We are excited to hear about his new adventures with Kathleen and wish them the best of luck!
2015 USEF Awards Abound at TFF
It was a banner year in 2015 for the Three Fates Morgan breeding program! We are proud to nominate and participate in the United States Equestrian Federation’s Horse of the Year program and our efforts were certainly recognized this year.
Lori Sargeant, breeder and owner, was extremely proud to learn that she is once again the 2015 USEF Morgan Breeder of the Year, leading in points just ahead of her good friend, Roxanne Sardelli Greenway of Sarde Morgans in Clayville, Rhode Island. This is an award that Lori also won in 2013. The primary contributor to this year’s point accumulation was Lori’s home bred and trained Do-It-All Morgan gelding, Three Fates Cheiron.
“Ronnie” capped off a terrific season as the 2015 USEF Grand Champion Morgan over all disciplines, with a total of 500 points earned—over 100 points ahead of the reserve horse. He was also recognized by USEF in the 2015 National Horse of the Year Awards as:
- – Morgan Versatility Champion (with more than double the points of the Reserve Champion)
– Morgan Dressage Training Level Reserve Champion
– Morgan Dressage First Level Reserve Champion
In the 2015 USEF Region Awards, Ronnie chalked up these accomplishments:
- – Morgan Dressage First Level Champion for Region 3
– Morgan Versatility Champion for Region 3
– Tied for the Morgan Versatility Champion for Region 5
– Morgan Versatility Reserve Champion for Region 6
– Tied for the Morgan Dressage Training Champion and First Level Champion for Region 10
His many awards also earned his sire, PKM Gamborian, the honor of being the USEF’s 2015 Morgan Leading Sire, as well as the 2015 Saddle Horse Report Breeder’s Highest Average Points Per Get Stallion, with more than double the points of the next highest scoring stallion.
It was really fun to have a reason to get dressed up at a horse event! Thank you to Ronnie and Gamby for helping me reach these amazing goals.
TFF Featured in The Morgan Horse Magazine
We were honored and thrilled to be featured in the December 2015 issue of The Morgan Horse magazine. It was certainly the cherry on top of the sundae of our already great year with our Morgans. Many thanks to author Kim Oplotnik for her outstanding penmanship of “As Fate Would Have It”!
Buy a horse and fund brain tumor research!
When my associate Dr. Michelle Blanda and her husband, Dr. Joe Blanda, discovered their son was in the fourth stage of GlioBlastoma, their world began to crumble. But the 17 year old Joe Blanda was a positive, upbeat and strong young man right up to the end. He began a series of heartfelt video blogs to chronicle his illness, and you can meet Joe and hear his story by clicking HERE.
Joe tragically lost his fight with Glioblastoma in April 2015, and TFF LivingLife arrived in June. Sired by PKM Gamborian and out of the Tug Hill Whamunition daughter, Cause Celebre, She was named after Joe’s mission, LivingLife, and her barn name is “Josie” after her namesake. She has her own mission to fulfill in life that will be to always provide inspiration.
In keeping with her mission, this beautiful 2015 registered Morgan filly is available for purchase, and all proceeds from her sale will be donated to BLAST GlioBlastoma, a foundation begun by the Blanda family to raise funds to support Brain Tumor Research.

It was a wonderful week at the 2015 New England Regional
My first New England Morgan showing my lovely World Champion, TFF Selene, with Waterford Farm was a great experience and we even made some memorable victory passes!
Our first blue ribbon came in the form of the Western In Hand class, which was followed by the Reserve Champion Specialty In Hand tricolor. I love this class and so enjoyed leading Selene, as this was a total repeat from her 2014 accomplishments in this division.
Kathy Peeples got to make the first performance victory pass with a win in the Western Pleasure Ladies Mare after a perfect ride. I’ve been working hard all spring to get in gear with this mare, and Kathy has worked right along side me to put our team together. The reward was another win in the Western Pleasure Amateur Mare class, which was tough and had some great entries.
Selene and Kathy put the icing on the cake of a great week when they were Ladies Western Pleasure Reserve Champions in the midst of the beautiful nightlights of Northhampton. Special thanks to the Waterford Farm crew for doing an outstanding job of prepping us and providing all the moral support and encouragement a person could ask for!
Our class of 2014 has arrived!
The first to arrive on April 18th was a gorgeous black filly by Masque N Black and out of W-B Element (WindhoverEnchantmint x Nemours Royal Match), a mare we rescued from a possible sad outcome from an auction very heavy in foal. Bella Noire is the sweetest darling and we are thoroughly enjoying her personality.
Arriving on May 2nd was a substantial brown colt by the winning dressage stallion GKB Coal Magic, by Ragtime Voodoo Magic, and out of our own TFF Iris (Bri-B XTC x Oak Grove First Lady). TFF Hard Act To Follow is already showing his athleticism and we’re excited to see how he grows over the next year.
And last, but not least, TFF The Last Olympian is a bay colt foaled May 26, 2014, and is sired by Town Assets, an up and coming young sire of several World Champions who stands at Waterford Farm in NJ. His dam, Cause Celebre, is a big, handsome mare by WC Tug Hill Whamunition and out of the Tedwin Topic daughter, Dior.
