A work in progress, Ivory came to us through the Morgan SafeNet Rescue, who came from the kill pen in Bowie, Texas. She came with more baggage than I had seen in a long time. Thankfully, Morgan SafeNet saw her and arranged her bail. She trusted NO ONE when she first arrived here, and it was a win just to get her halter on. She made feral noises I have never heard from a horse. She bordered on dangerous… not mean, but scared, defensive and reactive.
After two months, she trusts enough to lay down, all done without force or crazy tactics. There are still some true horsemen out there.
Bar Nothing Ivory… you have come a LONG way.
